Whether your skin is looking a bit lack luster from the winter weather and feeling dry & dull, exfoliating is truly the magic solution for better skin!  But with so many options out there for exfoliating it is hard to know which one to use & why! We have put together our top 3 all time favourites & why you need them in your life but first of all....

Why Exfoliate

The protective outer-most layer of our skin (AKA the stratum corneum) is made up of dead skin cells that are replaced every two weeks. At least, that’s how it’s supposed to work.

But as we get older, this process slows down – a lot. Dead skin cells build up on the surface of our skin, leading to problems like fine lines, wrinkles, breakouts, and dullness. Exfoliation helps to remove these dead skin cells, restoring this renewal process to its ideal length and keeping your complexion new!

The Benefits

By exfoliating once or twice a week you will get the benefit of improved circulation, un-clogged pores, minimised age spots & fine lines. Exfoliating is the easiest way to give your skin an amazing natural glow

Our Picks

You know we are all about the natural prouducts! We arent advocated of harsh chemical exfoliation. Here are our top 3 picks...

The Coffee Body Scrub by Mood Skin & Soul contains organic cane sugar which exfoliates dead skin cells away, rejuvenating skin whilst the coffee grounds increase circulation, tightening skin leaving it feeling smoother and brighter. The nourishing oils and cocoa butter, full of vitamin E and antioxidants, leave a moisturising barrier protecting your skin from environmental factors that cause harmful free radicals. Scented with essential oils that are good for your skin and soul, Mood Skin & Soul Coffee Body Scrub harnesses the power of Wild Orange and Peppermint, a calming and uplifting blend which has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antiseptic properties.

Natural LoofahLoofahs are made from fibrous material found in gourd-like tropical fruits. The spongy texture is perfect for exfoliating skin to keep it smooth and sleek. To properly use a loofah, you’ll need to get one, put soap and water on it, and scrub your body. Make sure to also rinse, dry, and sanitize your loofah in order to keep it clean.
