Roses of a different kind....

Rose extract has many benefits when it comes to skincare.  It has amazing anti-inflammatory properties & can reduce redness, breakouts & eczema.  It also is a great cleanser as it unclogs pores. Here are few of our favourite products for you to try.

This month we were super excited to be pairing up with Anoint Skincare to bring you their Rose Facial Steam.  They are based right here in NZ & hand craft all of their products from their base in Kerikeri and have the most beautiful range of luxurious treats! Their Rose Facial Steam comes in a postable envelope. It is super easy to use, you simply draw a bowl of boiling water & sprinkle the facial steam into the bowl & place your face over the bowl to take in all of its goodness.  It is such a relaxing way to spend the evening once the kids are in bed! Facial Steaming with Essential Oils helps to purify the skin, improve circulation and is a deeply relaxing experience.

If you haven't tried their range yet, we suggest that you head along to their website & stock up! Their moisture bars are to die for, I was lucky enough to sample the Ylang Ylang & Grapefruit & my skin was glowing all day.

With the crazy heat that we have been having this summer paired with constantly having to apply some form of SPF to protect our skin, we need to show our faces some extra love.  The Neroli & Rose Facial Mist Toner from Soultime Skincare is perfect for hydrating your face. Use after cleansing or mist during the day to refresh, cool & hydrate the skin. As well as calming & relaxing, when used in skin care,  Neroli has regenerative properties.  Rose cools & soothes, tones & firms the skin as well as refreshing the soul. Soultime Skincare makes beautiful natural skin care products created to nourish the soul as well as the skin

A shower bomb is a new concept that we were luck enough to try this month. The Limited Edition Rose Shower Bomb from Essentially Tamara elevates your shower to a whole new level! They are artisan crafted using Essential Oils & when placed in the bottom of your shower it mixes with the steam to create a therapeutic experience. They have a whole range of different scents to check out on their website

I am a huge believer that beauty begins on the inside & come from a long line of tea drinkers (its the pom in us!) The Zealong Tea Estate based in Hamilton has a large range of beautifully crafted teas. Our favourite this month is The Lady Gatsby Tea, an elegant, vibrant Green tea blend with the floral notes of rose petal, the woody spice of manuka, and the lingering sweetness of cinnamon. They are 100% NZ grown & organic certified.  If you are heading down that way they are also open for lunches, tours & give you an insight into the history of tea

Last but definitely not least, if you haven't tried the Burts Bees range of Lip Balm, you don't know what you're missing out on! They leave your lips feeling lush & kissable.  This month we are using the Pomegranate Moisturising Lip Balm.  While not Rose themed, who doesn't need kissable lips this Valentines . It is 100% natural & is our #1 go to for lip balm!
